France Applauds Cambodia’s Development Amidst Covid-19

Phnom Penh: Another praise for Cambodia’s fight against the pandemic. Prime Minister Hun Sen has received a courtesy visit from French Ambassador to Cambodia, Jacques Pellet on Wednesday. The Ambassador has conveyed to Prime Minister Hun Sen that the French Government praises Cambodia for its continued development in the country despite the Covid-19 pandemic.

The French ambassador has congratulated the Prime Minister for leading the Kingdom of Cambodia to great development at this time. He has also praised Cambodia’s rapid vaccination policy which prevented the spread of Covid-19 and led to the fully reopening of the country. Another success brought by Cambodia’s vaccination is the reopening of the economy, schools and businesses throughout the country.

Ambassador Pellet has told Prime Minister Hun Sen how happy are the 400 French companies for Cambodia’s vaccination success. He says the success leads to improved economic and trade activity. The ambassador has also informed Prime Minister Hun Sen that the French President Manuel Macron will attend the Asia-Europe Summit, which Cambodia is hosting on Thursday and Friday.

Prime Minister Hun Sen has warmly welcomed the French Ambassador and congratulated on his diplomatic mission in the kingdom. The Prime Minister has also agreed with the ambassador’s point on strengthening of cooperation between Cambodia and France, as well as the strengthening of cooperation in various international frameworks.
